	Phex is a great effort by a bunch of Indegineous people. I was using Limewire before i saw Phex on one of the P2P sites and thought why not give it a try. And now i am stuck with Phex forever. To ban the source of these files, just hi-lite the results, right-click and select 'Ban Host Unlimited'. This will add them to the 'security' list you'll find by clicking on the PHEX 3 Security tab. Note: The first time you do this, the number of wanker hits you'll get will be large. However, the more often you do it, the shorter the list will get. 		+	I've been using Phex since it was first released, and have remained with it to-date. When I first began using Phex and LimeWire, there was a 'lot' of good stuff out there to be had. That's all changed now as I am encountering an exponential increase in the number of infected (or just plain wrong) files being published today. I've come to believe that the 'producers' of video and audio products have begun hiring coders to pollute the WWW with their crap. Some people will do anything for a buck I guess.

		+	So, how to protect yourself from this shit? Well first off, there is no 100% solution. There is a few tricks to limit your exposure to the dangerous stuff coming down the pipe. Here's my top solutions:
		+	TIPS that really work:

		+	1 - Avoid RealMedia:
		+
		+	Avoid downloading and running any Realmedia. The RealMedia Player (as of Feb/2008 has some serious exploits that have never been patched and someone could 'own' your computer with just one wrong RealMedia download. You can read more about it here:

		+	USE Bitzi:
		+
		+	Right-click on your download (or search result) and select 'View The Bitzi Ticket'. I've had great success with Bitzi for movies. It seems the number of wankers who use Bitzi are far outnumbered by the good folks, like us.

		+	If there is no Bitzi Ticket, try downloading the movie (or MP3) but at around 30% downloaded, go to the PHEX 'Incomplete' folder and create a copy of the partial download. Try running the partial download. If it looks OK, the rest is likely to be as well. If it's garbage or an infected file, you'll recognize it's not a movie or sound track right away. Don't worry, it's very unlikely to cause any damege as it is only a partial file. I've been using this approach for years with no problems.

		+	BAN the Wankers:

		+	It may take a bit of work on your part, but you can use the 'Ban Host' feature built into PHEX 3. To get started, just do a search for some file name that is absolute nonsence, say "DooFoo Huuf", but without the quotes.
