Roadmap Phex 3.x

On this page you can see the developments we plans to do in the following months. They don't have a clear timeframe, because a clear timeframe could hurt more than help, when we can't make sure, that we'll definitely stick to it. But you can make your own prediction by checking our changelog.

General

• Switching to Maven for building (done)
• Switching to Java 5 (scheduled for 3.0, done)
• Integrating new internal preference handling (scheduled for 3.0, done)

Interface

• Support of virtual library directories
• Support and offer multiple custom icon packs (done)
• More translations

Network

• Support of different UDP protocol extensions
• Switching to non blocking IO (scheduled for 3.2/3.4)

Download/Upload

• THEX support (done)
• Firewall to Firewall transfer

Pending Features

• Limewire Mojito DHT support

Unwanted Features

• Multiple P2P networks/protocols (reason)
