In short, Phex reads out a central Magma-List (the list with the magma-list(s) has to be located at {phex-javadir}/ext/subscription.list), which points to different Magma-Lists, and from those it gets the magnets to the individual files.

The magnets are then downloaded decentrally from the Gnutella Network.

This procedure allows the magnets to be managed by several people together, while every one of the maintainers is responsible only for his or her part of the magnets.

To make updates of Phex easy, Phex simply stores the location of the central magma-list in the config.

To change it afterwards, simply edit the file ~/.phex/phex.cfg

If the file subscription.list is avaible in the folder {phex-javadir}/ext/subscription.list, Phex automatically reads out the list at the time of its next startup.
