Finding the Track
To get close to the Polar Skulk, which carries free content into Gnutella and into the open, you first have to get a polar pup. They are a little but precious breed not found in an ordinary foxes den. To find them, you have to travel to the home of the Polar Skulk where you can find them growing and enjoying the resonance of the voices of their kin.
After you found a kit, which agrees to bond with you, you need to help it join the Skulk.
As soon as you are accepted into the Skulk, your Kit will always fill your share with a reverbration of the knowledge of the whole Polar Skulk and in doing so it will spread this harmony into the Net.
Polar Skulk
Welcome to the Polar Skulk, dear visitor.
Here you can find those, which have taken on the deed to carry harmony and free knowledge into the net to help it prosper. If you join this Skulk, know, that you can always decide to leave it, but that our kits are precious to us and we will direly miss their presence in the Skulk, should you decide to take your leave.
Before you enter our den, be aware that as soon as you are part of the Polar Skulk, free knowledge will fill your own library along with a harmony, which isn't only of your own.
This harmony gets chosen by all those of us, who decide to take on that task and join up with the creators of the symphony of the Polar Skulk, which fills all homes of the members of our Skulk. You can get part of it, but before you decide on your way and place in the Skulk, you must decide, if you want to be one of us.
If you made up your mind, we won't test your decision, for it is yours to make.
So enter our den and find you one of our kits, which gets in resonance with your home.
The Polar Den
Many Kits live here, but only some will be able to live in harmony with your own home and your library, so choose the way which leads to your home, and one will meet you to form a bond of silk and sound.
Paths into the Den
Many paths lead through this Den and one of them should resemble your own home. Should none of them be the one for you, you might have to create it yourself, so that Kits who are ready to bond with you can find you. But seldom a visitor has to carve the way, and yours should now lie right in front of you and wait for your feet to touch bare earth.

Trails of the Scent of wisdom
The songs of the Polar Skulk emerge from many sources, and all of these are connected with trails of Scent, which your kit can follow, and all those trails meet at the #Crossroad of Songs. Here your pup will take the first scent and follow it to its source to find the vast amount of knowledge contained there, which wil lead it on other trails towards information, which your kit will use to recreate the items found at the end of these trails. And after your kit brought you this knowledge it will go on again to follow the next trail of scent to another source.
Every single one of these Sources lies within the den of one of the #Elders of the Skulk, the ones who collect free knowlegde and wisdom about the world or help it to spread. Nothing else seperates an elder from any other member of the Skulk, but the deed he or she has decided to take on. That deed is to collect free wisdom and and knowledge and to make sure, that no member of the Polar Skulk can get into problems for having it in their own dens.
If you want to take that deed yourself, get into contact with one of the #Elders of the Skulk and a trail to your den will be added to the #Crossroad of Songs.
Crossroad of Songs
What you see here isn't the #Crossroad of Songs itself, but a mere reflection in which you can see the trails over which your kit will travel to gather the knowledge of the Skulk and recreate it in your own den. Follow the trails of stones yourself, which lead to the elders whose dens are the destination of your kit, even though your kit will take a different path on the way of its scent.

What we do for members of the Skulk
There is one thing you get above all: Access to good and free files without the hassle of having to send your kit yourself.
As everyone who adopts a Phex kit, you can get answers in the Forum and in this Wiki, and you get to experience the Gnutella Network free of any charge, for your kit is quite happy to experience the world of Gnutella, whatever it is you want of it (not including, naturally, harming itself).
The #Elders of the Skulk will search for new high quality content regularly and you will get it automatically and free of hassle, and if you know some great sources, you can call one of them to include it, or become an elder yourself and create your own special stock of great free material to make it avaible to the world.
Elders of the Skulk
These are the elders of the Polar Skulk, wise and old or just young and a bit foolish, but all dedicated to bringing you free knowledge and wisdom and to spreading it in the net. If your want to join them in their deed, simply call out to one of them, and they will meet to discuss without end, till they most likely tell you that they'll be glad to have you among them.
You can meet them in the Forum of the Polar Skulk.
The Reflecting Pool
Now that you saw the inner parts of the Polar Skulk, you can take a last glimpse into the reflecting pool at the border of our Skulk, and here you can find time and stillness to reflect yourself.
You can think about your way to the Skulk, your views and your thoughts, and while slow waves move the sourface of the pool, you might see something in your own mind, which should be part of the Symphonie of this Skulk.
Maybe you also see something you want to tell our Skulk.
Then please take your time to write it into the ground, so we can find your message, when you take your leave.
