The Gnutella Web Caching System, or GWebCache, is a simple but powerful web-based distributed host caching system to support the Gnutella network. It was developed with Gnucleus, and since it is a simple, open system, we invite anyone to use it.
Phex is supporting the GWebCache since Phex 0.8 to help you get connected faster to the Gnutella network. You can support Phex and the Gnutella network with running a GWebCache on your web server.
  • Running a GWebCache is easy: if you have a permanent web server, just download and install the script and it will run maintenance-free from then on! (just check for updates once in a while)
  • Running a GWebCache is cool: you're helping the Gnutella network!
